Oratex Inc. was founded in 1989 as a Commission Knitter serving the garment industry in Canada. Over the past two decades, they have proven to be both flexible to changing times and consistent in quality and service to customers. Oratex has grown from strictly a commission knitting entity to a high-end fabric supplier. Through their transition, their fabrics are sold worldwide and are at the forefront of quality standards. Oratex provides garments for the fashion industry, the 'uniform' business, the athletic/specialized sportswear business, and even fire retardant work-wear business.

In addition, Oratex Inc. is a North American specialized fabric manufacturer focused on Circular Knit stretch fabrics. They also produce eco-stretch, basic knit (non-stretch), eco-knits, and UV protecting garments. Their knitting mill, which houses the latest specialized open-width fine gauge machinery, allows Oratex to produce fabrics that are at the forefront of today’s apparel industry.

“All our fabrics are produced in our own facilities where we can control every aspect of the manufacturing process. Our people are well trained and have the knowledge and understanding of dealing with the challenges of today's fabric industry.  High compression, color fastness, color consistency, and lot to lot continuity, we can handle it for you.”

With an extensive knowledge of stretch goods; such as Cotton Spandex, Poly Lycra / Nylon, and Viscose/Bamboo Rayon they can engineer fabrics with the right-hand feel, compression, recovery and shrinkage to fit buyers needs. Below are just a couple stretch fabrics available on our Le Souk Showroom for Oratex.
